Raintime Irrigation & cooling with fog

From the 6th to the 10th of June everyone in Milan was able to immerse themselves with all their senses in the nature of Austria and enjoy this cooling freshness in the middle of city life.

In the installation Airship.03 there is a refreshing miracle. A forest of lichens, moss and plants together with a fine mist of water allowed visitors to enter from the city heat into a pleasant oasis of Austrian nature.

Airship.03 was equipped with 520 different plants from Carinthia. With ferns, mosses and also woody plants such as firs, stone pine, maple and larches, the 30 m2 were greened. These plants play a significant role in the ecosystem because they produce fresh oxygen and neutralize CO2.

The air is also an essential factor of our climate. To illustrate the natural air and water cycle of the earth in Airship.03 small amounts of water were atomized by spray nozzles and illuminated with light plays.

As with AIRSHIP.01, we designed and implemented the system for cooling with mist and irrigation. We are pleased that we were again able to make a contribution to this absolutely exciting project and the successful result.
