It’s finally here and we skipped the calendar for June 21st<\/strong> and the official start of summer<\/strong>. Summer knocks on the door and as a gardener<\/strong> you are now very busy<\/strong> in the garden. Some can already harvest the first fruit<\/strong> and those who take good care<\/strong> of their plants<\/strong> will be rewarded with a true bloom and rich harvest<\/strong> in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Tips for the ornamental garden in June<\/h3>\n

Sow two-year flowers and spring and summer bloomers<\/p>\n

Remove withered flowers regularly<\/p>\n

Mow the new lawn – sown in May – for the first time<\/p>\n

Fertilize the lawn a second time<\/p>\n

Cut flowering clematis several times<\/p>\n

Propagate shrubs<\/p>\n

Cut back the upholstery<\/p>\n

Shorten young pegs<\/p>\n

Break out withering rhododendron flowers<\/p>\n

For climbing plants, guide the shoots with climbing aids<\/p>\n

Cut off the inflorescences on peonies<\/p>\n

Share colorful daisies<\/p>\n

Fertilize and care for roses<\/p>\n

Cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, beets, sweet corn, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, lettuce, ice cream, Asia, lamb’s and pickling salads,
Radishes, carrots, radish, pumpkin, zucchini<\/p>\n

Last asparagus harvest<\/p>\n

Plant leeks<\/p>\n

Thin out cucumbers<\/p>\n

Cut summer raspberries<\/p>\n

Harvest elderflowers<\/p>\n

Harvest new potatoes<\/p>\n

Regularly mulch<\/p>\n

Support heavily bearing vegetables with a support or trellis<\/p>\n
