A healthy and pleasant indoor climate<\/strong> is a crucial factor for the well-being in the workplace and the health of the workers. One-third of the day<\/strong> is a long time spent at work<\/strong> – in the office – demonstrating the importance of a healthy and pleasant indoor environment.<\/p>\n

A pleasant indoor climate has a positive<\/strong> effect<\/strong> on health<\/strong>, well-being<\/strong> and productivity<\/strong>, whereas well-being and performance decrease when the indoor climate is perceived as unpleasant. As office work predominantly takes place while seated, the ideal values for the room temperature in office premises are between min. 18 \u00b0C<\/strong> and max. 24 \u00b0C<\/strong>. The average of 21 \u00b0C<\/strong> is considered optimal<\/strong> and felt.<\/p>\n

Humidity<\/h3>\n

It is particularly important that the room air is not too dry, because this provides an ideal breeding ground for pathogens, stimulates irritation of the mucous membranes and also weakens the ability to concentrate. According to studies, one in four offices in Austria<\/strong> is well below the minimum limit of 40% humidity<\/strong> and in periods of high heating the value drops even further to around 30%.<\/p>\n

An optimal indoor climate<\/strong> will surely be important to you – whether you are a self-employed person or an employer – because you not only benefit<\/strong> from more efficiency<\/strong> and well-being<\/strong>, but also prevent loss of earnings<\/strong> or frequent illnesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
